I had the pleasure of meeting & getting to know Timothea after Katrina when she was relocated to Kernersville, NC. Even in her darkest moments she always had a smile on her face and a song in her heart. I'm sure that she is "Still Standing" and singing her heart out with her friends who have gone on before her. Timothea was a great person, who spear headed the fight for Hepatitis C here in New Orleans. I was very fortuate to find her when my then 15 month old son was diagnosed with HCV. She taught me everything I know, it was a great pleasure working with her on the last benefit held here in NO for Hepatitis and I would love to be able to continue that fight in her honor. Wishing Jessie and everyone in her family comfort is knowing how loved and how missed she will be. Lets continue the fight against HCV in her name!!!! Nora

I met Timi just 5 year ago when I married her son Joey. I did not get to know her that well, but the little time that I had with she was a great mother-in-law. I will miss her very much. My heart broke and I shed some tears when I heard the sad news. Even though we never met personally, we spoke on the phone a time or two. I fell in love with the music, the voice and the spirit of Timothea. Several years ago I took her CD, Going Home to Mama, to KPFT 90.1 FM in Houston, TX. I asked the Blues Broad to play "You Make Me Feel Good", because I had a met a hot guy that was all about that song. The Blues Broad fell in love with the CD and played her music quite frequently. Well, our beloved Blues Broad is gone, but now she can meet Timi in Blues Heaven. With Ruth Brown up there, they are going to be having one helluva good time! I did not know Timi personally, but did through her music and her dear friend Carole Touchstone. Timi had a voice that came from her soul. Her soul seem to project what life had dealt her. Very few singers are as special as she was. I'm sorry I never knew her.
